Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced Reviewer at Hindawi Foundation to help us spread knowledge and culture and inculcate a love of reading among Arabic speakers. Among others, the successful candidate shall proofread texts making sure that the translated version is accurate and flawless while aligning the structure and style with the foundation’s quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review the target text by comparing it to the source text, ensuring that the translations provided are accurate, coherent and consistent.
- Revise and edit translations to ensure that they align with the Foundation’s standards and guidelines.
- Correct factual, logical, spelling and grammatical errors.
- Align the structure and style of translations with the Foundation’s quality standards and verify conformity.
- Conduct training and feedback sessions with translators to contribute to improve their performance.
- Receive feedback from senior reviewers and act accordingly.
- Comply with our ethical codes and protect the confidentiality of the information.
Job Requirements
Qualification & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation or any relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in translation/revision.
- Excellent writing skills in both English and Arabic.
- Excellent knowledge of translation and editing techniques.
