Job Description
- Following up shipping bookings with shipping lines
- Following up with the customs clearance agent.
- Maintains accurate records for all shipments and prepares all required reports.
- Inform and coordinate with the Accounting Department in handling payment issues, ensuring payment on time to avoid delays and further costs.
- To file properly all Import documentation and customs follow up.
- To escalate on Import issues to Management.
- Assure compliance of the imported material with the Egyptian regulations and the Egyptian standard specifications and international standards if applicable.
- Ensure giving high Service Standard via timely reply with freight information details/ status upon request for sales team and customers.
- Designing, enhancing and making sure that the import and export rules, regulations and modulations are enforced strictly.
- Suggesting modifications and alterations to the service suppliers, if and when needed
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge in shipping & commercial terms.
