Job Description

Position Purpose:

This position should ensure that the actual material consumption and its variances vs. plans are accurately booked and reported in financial books and systems. In addition, this position is also responsible for the material planning in all planning periods in coordination with all related departments in a Supply Chain Organization.

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate and work closely with Procurement and Planning Teams to calculate and submit material costs for 3 factories during all planning cycles and accurately report plan update variances vs. Annual Plan.
  • Actively participate in Annual Strategic Plan to prepare all material related templates/slides, roadmaps.
  • Accurately manage actual performance and timely upload variances of actuals vs Annual Plan.
  • Review material inventory movements and perform the evaluation on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare all required month end-closing entries related to material and share with Accounting Team and make all required submissions via systems as per the closing calendar.
  • Timely submit all required reports in Company systems as per the given deadlines.
  • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Analyzing data collected and challenging results.
  • Analyze any changes in products provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual and monthly inventory counts.
  • Maintain inventory work papers for internal reporting and outside audit firm.
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts based on expected future trends and results.
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide management with reports and factors that affect prices and profitability of products.
  • Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis
  • Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management.
  • Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers.
  • Measuring cost centers effectiveness and compare it to budget.

Job Requirements

  • Education Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any equivalent degree.
  • Work Experience 5+ years of experience in Finance with Manufacturing and FMCG industry experience is a must
  • Language & Computer Skills Excellent skills of MS Office tools, Fluent spoken/written English and Arabic.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) will be an asset
  • SAP/Oracle experience will preferably considered.
  • Strong character and management skills.
