Job Description
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
- Create and iterate over the visual design of the digital products.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Design Lead and engineers to create a user experience and design that will deliver against the customer needs, product vision and objectives
- Work in a highly iterative way, directly with the engineers to allow a high-paced and iterative development and delivery process. As such you need to be comfortable with designing for early MVPs with a large amount of ambiguity and subsequently iterating over live designs with input from data and analytics from real life user testing.
- Design and deliver product visualization based on input from Design Lead and Product Owner
- Explore solution space and refine concepts going from early wireframes to high definition designs
- Build prototypes to help validate and communicate designs
- Identify and conduct user interface experiments in collaboration with the Design Lead and Product Owner; conduct analytics based on data from real life experimentation
- Help Product Leads and Product Owners define both long and short-term vision and roadmap for digital products at client digital unit
- Collaborate with other designers within and across team to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency across products
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-10 years UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
- A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
- Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A team player but can work independently too.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
- Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
- Experience working on a variety of software development projects.
- Deep programming language knowledge.
