Bavaria Alarm is one of Bavaria's Holding subsidiaries that was established in 1996 with the objective of providing fire detection, alarm and automated extinguishing systems.Through Years, Bavaria Alarm enriches its scope to include different firefighting systems as Water Based Systems, Gas Suppression Systems and Pre-Engineered Firefighting modular solutions to cover the excessive and progressive market needs.
Accordingly Bavaria Alarm is hiring a Mechanical Installation Manager to guide and direct all personnel, sub contractors, and vendors in the timely installation and testing of all mechanical aspects of the Firefighting Systems. Report to Project Management team on all aspect of the site operations including schedule, manpower, and other related installation activities as well as prepare for and attend project meetings both with the client contractors. Installation Manager will be asked to cover the following Job Description:
- Read technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports and interpret any complicated designs for on-site personnel for smooth installation.
- Review and analyze customer design, proposal, specifications, and manuals, and other data to evaluate the design applications.
- Specify system components to ensure compatibility with engineering design.
- Ensure that project costing plan is met, and in adherence to the approved budget.
- Direct and lead the activities of all professional workers, technical staff, and contractors in the installation of any Firefighting System across all sites.
- Originate testing plan and schedule for all mechanical aspects of the firefighting systems such as Fire Suppression systems, Water and Foam suppression systems, Total Flooding system, and Sprinkler Systems.
- Manage the Installation of Firefighting pump rooms, Fire Cabinets and Standpipe Firefighting System.
- Develop and monitor schedules for the on-time installation of the firefighting systems. Implement alternative plans to mitigate adverse effects of delays on the contract schedule.
- Apply engineering knowledge and principles to direct the troubleshooting of any occurred problems to keep system installation on schedule and up to the highest quality standards and in accordance with all design criteria.
- Assist drafters in updated their technical drawings to issue the as-built drawings.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
- Prepare/ present and report all progressive plans periodically to the Engineering Office and to the Customer.
- Oversee installation and operation to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Manage communication with contractors, lead their operations, monitor their performance and update action plan accordingly.
- Monitor the execution and the Compliance of the Health and Safety Standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree of Engineering Preferred Mechanical Major.
- 7-10 Years of Experience in leading installation activities.
- Previous experience in fire protection field is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid Mechanical background.
- Excellent Time Management and Communication Skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work in different circumstances (e.g. adverse weather, flexible hours...etc)
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office is minimum, AutoCAD is a plus)
