Chief Accountant

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough chief accountant to join our rapidly growing firm. In this role, you will demonstrate your management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, You must be highly accurate and efficient, utilizing your vast knowledge of the current tax code, upholding our standard of exceptional customer service, and, above all else, ensuring that consistent.

Job Description:

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team
• Conduct all necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date
• See that tax interviews are conducted properly with clients
• Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
• Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy
• Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code
• Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers
• Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively
• Maintain compliance with all state and regulations at all times
• Maintain constant communication with the IRS.
• Fulfill the tax consults and External / Internal Auditors Requirements
• Maintain highly organized and updated the accounting process.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
• Report directly to the Financial Manager
