Job Description

  • Building analysis, flying high and diving deep, to ensure smart reporting on the performance across all categories, leading to action oriented recommendations
  • Drive the development and improvement of our analysis and reporting across the group to ensure sharp business recommendations to drive growth and minimize inefficiencies
  • Leading the monitoring/implementation of our supply and inventory management plans, working closely with central and local teams taking an active part in the definition and execution of Jumia Globals strategy
  • Developing a seamless supply planning process to ensure we have the right products at the right time and prices ready for sale
  • Build a rigorous inventory management process to curb capacity issues, improve seller trust and enhance the customer value proposition
  • Identify and resolve gaps from a commercial and operational perspective across the Global supply chain
  • Leading complex commercial operations and project management initiatives, coordinating effectively cross-functional initiatives.
  • Understanding the markets, vendors and customers, bringing valuable insights and convictions to support your data driven recommendations.
  • Working seamlessly with all departments (Commercial, Marketing, Onsite, Operations...), enabling decision making, problem solving and ensuring laser focus execution.
  • Constantly working toward improving and simplifying our tools, processes

Expected background and technical skills:

  • An ideal candidate would possess significant (3 years+) experience in management consulting, venture capital,supply planning, company creation or category management (retail) with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of impact
  • Top Business / Engineering Schools and Universities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel plus SQL would be advantageous
  • Ability to analyse large data sets to make strategic decision
