Job Description

Summary of purpose/major responsibilities

  • Within the framework of Global, AMEE and Africa strategy: define, execute and monitor brand strategy for Egypt & Sudan
  • Assess requested resources and prioritize sales & marketing activities
  • Directly coordinate sales planning and execution activities
  • Propose commercial policy and define distribution strategy related to private sales
  • Lead and Develop private sales, marketing and business operations team

Key Accountability

STRATEGY

  • Assess environment and build strategy per brand (including new launches to come)
  • Based on defined strategy, develop annual brand plans in order to define key activities & resources needed for execution and successful launch sequences (Hexaxim, QIV,…)
  • Coordinate transversally with relevant support functions (Regulatory, External Affairs, BO&S, Trade Management…) in order to ensure definition of priorities

MARKETING EXECUTION

  • A&P Opex mgt accountability
  • Define yearly operational plan
  • Implement KPI to monitor operational plan execution
  • Directly manage interactions with top KOLs, in collaboration with Medical team
  • Provide performance report to regional and global brand team
  • Ensure Sales & Marketing activities are executed in compliance with Sanofi rules and policies

SALES

  • Fully accountable of private sales Budget in Egypt
  • Manage 1 private sales manager + 6 Medical reps
  • Regularly perform sales force sizing exercise
  • In collaboration with BO&S, ensure sales force team has quarterly activities plan with clear KPI
  • Organize adequate training for Sales Force team (medical, selling skills…)
  • Develop sales force team

BUSINESS OPERATIONS & PLANNING

  • Manage 1 Business Operations Manager
  • Monitor product distribution flow and run monthly SISO analysis
  • Review and validate sales plan (monthly rolling forecasts)
  • Monitor and optimize sales contract execution
  • Ensure coordination of sales execution activities

COMPLIANCE & HSE

  • Guarantees that all sales activities or related operations are carried out in compliance with local regulations and laws governing business operations as well as corporate policies in order to avoid conflict with official / legal authorities and loss of public reputation
  • Responsible for respecting & ensure the respect of the company’s values, code of ethics and social charter
  • Ensure the respect of personal data protection charter
  • Responsible for applying the HSE related requirements for the company in all related working procedures, in particular road safety programs and lead by example.

Context of the job/major challenges

  • Egypt restart Private with fully renewed structure
  • Key to integrate well in the local environment while injecting global/corporate leadership culture

Dimensions/Scope

  • Human Resources dimensions: 3 direct reports + 6 N-2 (medical reps)
  • Specific : High visibility of Egypt, one of the last big country in term of potential for AMEE growth. Required more structured and global understanding (Internal and external vaccines ecosystem vs direct procurement,..) to succeed into this transformation

Job Requirements

Education/experience

  • Business school or ideally MBA
  • At least 5 Years’ experience in commercial operation. Either within global environment (HQ GBU or Region offices) or local experience with high exposure to global environment
  • English speaking fluent, Arabic is a plus

Competencies

  • Highly strategic thinking
  • High agility to adapt to culture environment (local and global vs exposition of country to Ignite identified at regional level)
  • Ability to dig in operations details and zoom out to global picture to ensure the global goal is transformed in execution in fields (Small team, lean organization with few layers)
  • Business acumen and if possible strong knowledge of vaccine market (PPH, Flu, Meningitis) At Sanofi diversity and inclusion is foundational to how we operate and embedded in our Core Valu
