Currently the team works with IBM’s clients driving resolution of technical issues with use and integration of Application Platforms, Application Integration or Software Development community projects in the enterprise.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Act as technical resource and point of escalation for team members.
- Interact with the relevant Open Source Communities on behalf of clients and your interests
- Engage in identifying and resolving complex problems relating to installation, update, configuration, operations or performance.
- Present knowledge via articles, blogs and remote training.
Job Requirements
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
- Experience collaborating (support forums, mailing lists or code) with ONE or more of these open source projects: OpenJDK, Spring Framework, Apache TomEE, WildFly, Lighttpd, Nginx, Apache Kafka, Java, Node.js, ActiveMQ, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Commons, Apache ServiceMix, Apache Maven, RabbitMQ, Apache Camel
- Eagerness to learn and expand technical competencies regularly
- Flexible with change
- Excellent English communication skills
Nice to have
- An understanding of what it takes to migrate from proprietary to Open Source platforms
- Experience answering questions on a public support forum
- Cloud integration experience
- Leadership experience
