Job Overview
The computer engineer manages and operates computer resources, both hardware, and software. He ensures the deployment of systems and products and also ensures that systems are configured correctly and are running efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the local network and technical coordination
- Managing, maintaining and developing the network and its services
- Installing and configuring servers (Linux) and desktops (Windows)
- Managing a Learning Management System (LMS) platform
- Providing IT assistance to school projects
- Applying security norms and standards
- Installing and upgrading hardware and software components of IT systems
- Ensuring the deployment of Office 365 applications
- Ensuring the security of installations (physical, digital, backups, system updates, etc.)
- Ensuring the data backup process
- Managing the hardware and software inventories of the IT equipment
- Providing technical assistance to staff and users (Desktops, printers, network, video conferencing, etc.)
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer/Telecommunications Engineering
- 7-10 years of total experience, 1+ year experience as a software or systems engineer
- Extensive knowledge of various networks and operating systems as well as computer standards and protocols
- Knowledge of IT security: protection of servers from intrusions, ensuring the continuity of services
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Ability to time manage and prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
