Job Description
Garden of Art is an art gallery based in Sheikh Zayed, Egypt. We currently run various art exhibitions (group and solo) and run an art school where we offer art courses for all levels, from children and adult beginners to professional.
We are looking for an experienced art gallery manager to help plan and implement a comprehensive branding, marketing, and sales plan for Garden of Art in the medium and long-term. In short, the art gallery manager will be responsible for everything from A-Z.
Job Requirements:
- Oversee the planning and day-to-day operations of the gallery
- Plan and coordinate art exhibitions
- Liaison with artists and various stakeholders related to Garden of Art
- Design and help implement a comprehensive sales strategy for various artwork
- Help with organizing various events of cultural and artistic relevance that can build Garden of Art's profile as an art and cultural destination on Cairo's art scene
- Help implement a social media branding and advertising campaign.
Job Requirements
Ideally, Candidate Should:
- Have an academic background in Fine Arts or a closely related field; this is not mandatory but is highly preferred
- Previous experience in art gallery management is a must
- Extensive knowledge of the Egyptian and regional art scene
- Nurture a clientele and maintain a buyers' database, as well as a network of artists and artisans
- Adequate knowledge of Arabic and English, written and spoken, is of course, a must
