Job Description
Responsibility
- Oversees a department with over one thousand staff
- Responsible for all aspects of service delivery to segment (vertical) customers
- Responsible for P&L of operations department including direct and subcontracted services
- Is manager over four operations managers, two functional experts and a logistics head
- Reports to CEO
Job description
- Meets operations managers weekly to discuss operational challenges
- Meets clients frequently to discuss service improvement areas
- Attends weekly internal Account Review of individual project performance
- Leads complex projects like shut-downs, overhauls
- Drives continuous service improvement
- Leads quarterly workshops with account heads
- Coaches and develops account heads
- Plans resource/ skills/ talent requirements in tandem with sales plan
- Supports trouble shooting of complex technical issues
- Attends monthly company management meeting
Job Requirements
Managerial requisites
- Strong team leadership mentality with a customer focus mindset
- P&L and budget management experience
- Managing multi layered department and assessing performance at all levels of department
- Must be able to build and adhere to budgets at departmental and client level
- Ability to study tenders and support proposal development
- Maintain relationships with maintenance support vendors
- Highly organised, target setting, structuring work streams,
- Building long term relationships
- Fluent Arabic, strong command of English
- Typical candidate background is from FM service provider, hotel industry, industrial with background managing full building services

Technical requisites
- 15-years’ experience in either technical (“hard”) FM or MEP installation, start-up and O&M
- Experience should be specific to vertical real estate (malls, factories, hospitals, airports, etc)
- Experience of planning and managing complex and integrated facilities management programs including hard and soft service outputs
- Has first-hand experience of studying new opportunities
- Fluency with building design and shop floor drawings, construction submittals and cost control
- Fluency with construction management of small projects
- Has substantial and direct experience working with ERP
- Has direct experience executing service through CMMS and using it for business improvement
- Preferably has an expertise in light current, automation and control
- Good knowledge of health and safety in FM especially MEP maintenance
- Has strong track record of overseeing and managing renovations and fit-out works including understanding the associated requirements for cost control, budgeting and scheduling
