Job Description

  • The main job of a senior media planner is to build strong relationships with clients and provide strategies and innovative ideas for their media; as planners, they work closely with top executives and also assist junior-level staff with special projects.
  • Senior media planners are responsible for: analyzing campaigns; providing clients with innovative ideas; developing media strategies; using digital marketing to achieve certain goals; providing both online and offline strategies to clients; training new employees; conducting meetings and effectively teaching media strategies;
  • Managing all aspects of campaigns; and negotiating proposals with clients.
  • Senior media planners generally work for media, advertising, or web agencies at a desk during traditional business hours.
  • Applicants for the position must have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, a few years of marketing and media experience, great analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Buy media advertising space for clients, and provide estimates of audience and costs.
  • Make sure clients receive compensation for advertisements that do not run when planned.
  • Review invoices from media companies and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Negotiate advertising contracts with media companies to determine pricing and schedules.
  • Planning, presenting, negotiating and executing digital media plans, strategies, reporting & analytics for various portfolio of clients (Entertainment – Sports – Automotive – Shopping – Real Estate – FCMG - Educational)
  • Developing media proposals, including timings and cost breakdowns for new pitches and existing clients.
  • Monitoring and optimizing ongoing campaigns performance across digital platforms to ensure their optimum performance. - Sustaining ongoing relationships with our major partners Google, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat, as well as other suppliers in the market. - Staying up-to-date with industry trends, new media solutions and techniques
