Job Description
The project Planner is a key member of the project team and works directly with the project manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's budget and schedule, analyses progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve/recover progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain project budget and schedule planning.
- Prepare the procurement plans.
- Prepare the required project resources according to project stages and status.
- Attend progress meetings, discussing and suggesting recovery proposals.
- Take part in the project management review and risk management review.
- Coordinate between the contractors and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements.
- Manage the cost analysis and cost control of site activities.
- Take part in the selection process of subcontractors and suppliers for projects.
- Review subcontractors' invoices.
- Follow up with subcontractors during negotiations and offer award or subcontract terms, performance and payments.
- Take part in the contractual aspect of projects.
- Document project issues/conditions and following up all project correspondences to observe the changes and potential claims.
- Maintain organized and detailed records and documents of all projects (i.e. working drawings, quantity surveying, purchase orders … etc) and coordinate with different teams to get these documents issued.
- Plan and prepare project paperwork and update it regularly in liaison with the Project Manager.
- Communicate projects’ progress and problems/risks/concerns to the Project Manager
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the same title & type of industry.
- Excellent user of Primavera P6.
- Flexible with visiting the company project inside & outside Greater Cairo.
