Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and design in the area of Electrical, mechanical and plumbing (MEP) system.
- Responsible for the review of design drawings, shop drawings and BOQ presented from the subcontractors and ensuring that it complies with the project requirements and specifications.
- Provide technical advice to staff designer, supervisor, inspector and contracting service provider, regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System.
- Perform the necessary coordination with the other disciplines to ensure that there are no conflicts.
- Prepare and perform RFI, B.O.Q., Material submittals, list of drawings etc…
- Prepare and perform Test and Commissioning protocols, as built…
- Responsible to validate that the design drawings are complying with the Egyptian code's standards.
- Following up on the design activities and supporting the site engineers.
- Able to come up with quick and proper solutions to meet with the project requirements.
- Able to carry basic buildings design changes where appropriate.
- Attend project, site progress and any MEP services related technical meetings as directed by the T.O. manager.
- Responsible to follow up on the drawing statuses for the current projects.
Job Requirements
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably from the Railway industry or similar large and long term infrastructure projects.
- Electrical Engineering University degree.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing disciplines in reputable companies and projects.
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Autocad , MS Office, Adobe acrobat all related programs is a must.
- Own a car and have a driving license.
