Job Description
- Schedule and control supply according to products distribution schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational continuity in way of optimizing costs.
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for product delivery from supplier to point of fit.
- Lead and working closely with internal and external parties to ensure supply of products is matching demand.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice MRP vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Take ownership of product planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially of product shortages that affect availability.
- Manage inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place. Seek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks
- Ensure the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and inventory accuracy at all times and manage and control inventory levels and movements
- Ensure strategic and operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required.
- Input and hold responsibility for Material Planning budgets
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Monitor and ensure that staff under supervision maintain accurate material schedules to get the right materials at the right time
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time products to B.TECH units as and when required avoiding disruption to demand.
- Liaise with stakeholders on product change requests and review and communicate the impact on planning and schedules
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for products is met and deliveries made on time
- Contribute to the assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction procurement team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s / License’s degree.
- Post Graduate: Accredited post studies in Supply Chain or Material Production Planning is a plus
- 5-8 years of experience in a relevant role
