Job Description
Role Purpose:
- To lead a team of salesmen to effectively achieve the sales targets with less percentage of returns in own area and maintain a strong relationships with customers in an effort to ensure an accelerated growth.
- Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the sales in branch to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Prepare reports of Sales department timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
- Meet with team on daily basis to discuss daily operations/targets, before and after their field visits
- Develop the weekly plans for the assigned area in line with targets and send those plans to the Branch or Area Sales Manager
- Daily follow up of sales plan and ensure implementation in the field as well as better customer service as per customers’ classification
- Manage the position of chillers inside the stores
- Take initiative to book needed space inside the new stores, as per the Sales volumes to ensure competitiveness
- Implement the rental and discount agreement with customers as per ASD’s policies
- Manage the data base in the assigned area that covers (all registered customers per sales route, bar codes for each customer, and chillers as per the classification)
- Ensure the freshness of the products on the shelves
- Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of sales branch activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner
- Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates in order to ensure their continuous development
- Train own team in the field on Sales fundamentals and skills (Distribution, Coverage and Visibility) and update them periodically about company & Sales policies
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
- Provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence to relevant policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Job Requirements
- Very good English
- Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
- 2 - 4 years relevant experience in Sales including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- FMCG industry experience.
