Job Description
- Design, implement, and maintain all aspects of Windows-based server solutions, including VMWare, Authentication services (Active Directory, LDAP, Active Directory Web Services, Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Federation Services, etc.), Network Services (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, etc.), and core infrastructure services for EagleRider, providing simple but effective scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Design, implement, and maintain all aspects of client hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals, smartphones) by defining requirements, establishing standards, evaluating vendors/solutions, determining and managing system hardware refresh policies, and managing end-of-life.
- Design, implement and maintain all aspects of Windows-based client software, including configuration management and provisioning tools (SCCM, system image creation, and management, image deploy process, migration/upgrade process), software catalogs (managing the portfolio of packaged software, keeping systems up-to-date with software versions), patch management, maintaining inventory, managing licenses, antivirus such as Sophos, and maintaining backups.
- Implement tools and processes for the efficient and effective operational management of the environment -- change management, monitoring, alerting, incident handling, customer request handling, etc.
- To provide enterprise-level System Administration support in the maintenance and monitoring of critical data platforms, end-user devices, and providing direct support to our customers. Layer 3 Data & VoIP engineer with practical experience and knowledge working on LAN/WAN, VoIP, Hosted IP solutions such as Nextiva and SIP services
- Plans, coordinates, oversees, manages, implements, troubleshoots, and administers complex network administration and projects involving researching, installing, configuring and maintaining all network hardware and software, including the VMWare, Storage Area Network (SAN), LAN and WAN environments switches, routers, and firewalls for network functionality and security
- Provides 24x7 On-Call Escalation Support (rotation-based/full-week support)
- Inventory/Asset Management of our peripherals concerning each employee
- Document steps and processes on our wiki
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, physics, or similar technical discipline; or at least five years of hands-on IT experience without a degree.
- 4+ experience with Windows systems in physical and virtual environments.
- Formal experience managing Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
- Formal Experience in Security
