Job Description
- Maintains, monitors, and supports the infrastructure environment and/or facilities.
- Follows defined procedures to monitor systems and resolve problems.
- Support one or more systems or applications of low to medium complexity (complexity defined by size, the technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management, and hotfixes.
- Installing and maintaining operating environments.
- Monitoring these operating environments.
- Installs configures and maintains approved system hardware and software components.
- Responding effectively and speedily to any problems.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
- Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
- Updating any software and hardware where necessary.
- Troubleshoots problems by analyzing root causes and evaluating multiple options.
- Implements predetermined software or hardware changes to rectify any issues.
- Maintains structured cabling systems, telecom systems, WAN, LAN,/DAS, Wireless Networks and the local Internet, remote access, VPNs, and connectivity protocols.
- Administers and maintains firewalls, and performs intrusion detection analysis.
- Ensures all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measures are in place.
- Performs system and application vulnerability scanning.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
- Must know how to use database systems management software, enterprise resource planning software, and web platform development software.
- OFFICE 365 Active Directory, ADFS, CA, GPO, WSUS WINDOWS SERVER 2012R2, 2016 Microsoft Cloud (Azure) Microsoft System Center VMWare Microsoft SQL ITIL Foundation Networking; Routing, Switching Basics Google GSuite Google Cloud - Basics Sophos XG Firewall, PFSence QNAP NAS Storage Linux
