Job Description
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supports budget and forecasting activities.
- Builds relationship with bank representatives to ensure company gets best rates for LG, Transfers, overall commissions from bank sides and updates it every quarter.
- Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Work with the Chartered Accountant to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
- Evaluates Department’s Employees every quarter
- Support Chartered Accountant or External Auditor with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Attends weekly progress reports with CEO for weekly updates
- Produces a training need analysis for the department and presents it to HR Department at the beginning of each year
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as Accounting Manager
- 8-10 years' hands on experience in different Accounting fields.
- Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics is a must
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Strong exposure required in setting up systems, policies and procedures
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to communicate well and work through others
- Positive response to pressure
- Excellent follow up
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
