Job Description
- Drive the execution of strategic Medical Affairs plans in their assigned therapy areas/brands and provide thorough up-to-date medical expertise to support Organization message delivery to MEs. Top MEs management and follow up on annual development plans.
- Collaborate cross functionally in the execution of relevant scientific and clinical activities in assigned projects/disease areas.
- Compliance with applicable policies, procedures and other regulations
Clinical Research Support:
- Manage local phase IV clinical activities including local
- PMS studies, GCP, Local regulations and organization standards in collaboration with the clinical research team.
- Advise the clinical research team on study sites and investigators
- Prepare study documents for local studies and get it approved.
- Provide local medical support at investigator meetings for local studies.
Support Scientific Activities:
- Review/approve promotional materials and ensures the materials fully align with Novartis P3 guidelines from scientific point of view.
- Represent Scientific Operations in cross functional & cross therapeutic area projects as assigned.
- Identify and execute opportunities for productivity and/or efficiency improvement with appropriate colleagues/MSLs.
- Implement and ensure execution of medical affairs strategic and tactical plans.
- Scientific support for planning, implementing local events
- Respond to medical quires related to marketed products by the medical experts in collaboration with the medical information team
- Provide medical expertise to marketing colleagues from the early development phase throughout the life of the product
- Identifying the potential MEs within the medical community.
- Engaging top medical experts in new scientific projects.
- Preparation of the scientific data for any product
- Assisting in the evolution of appropriate promotional material.
- Provide medical trainings to the FF where required. Local Medical
Experts Development:
- Maintain top ME management.
- Assist the Head of Medical in projecting a credible medical image in the medical community
- Provide medical expertise to Health Authority inquiries
- Support the DRA team and revise all new products’ BPI/BSS
- Provide training to staff on Novartis’ and competitors’ drugs, as well as on target indications
- Support Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics, DS&E and Medical Information with medical input as appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree, pharmacist, PHD and other life sciences with solid medical/technical background and proven competencies.
- 3 years or more in Medical role.
- Business knowledge, clinical research background.
- Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts. Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area.
- Ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information
- Proven ability to use IT tools and interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms.
- Strong personal integrity and customer focus.
