Job Description

  • In-depth knowledge of inventory accounting methods and also Inventory valuation methods.
  • Ability to calculate Safety stock levels as per the company policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory ledger and Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger.
  • Participating in Inventory items turnover calculations.
  • Assisting in the calculations of operating and cash cycle.
  • Allocate inventory overhead costs to the stock items.
  • Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory.
  • Verify receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete.
  • Control Inventory transferring between sites.
  • Manage the inventory movement process from receiving it in the store till delivering it to customers.
  • Ensure that the entire inventory is stocked properly and arranged in an organized manner so that minimum wastage occurs and none of the items is spoilt, destructed or damaged in any way.
  • Other related tasks assigned to him by the Accounting Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Inventory Accountant.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Understanding of IFRS in relation to inventory.
  • Flexible and able to work as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
