In this role you'll...

Own design, delivery, testing, and quality for all work performed by your team, defining what quality code looks like
Collaborate with Product Management and UX to understand business requirements, project goals and identify appropriate architectural plans
Participate in standard scrum-based, agile activities (stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives, etc.)
Lead by example and inspire others with an emphasis on broad, organization-wide initiatives
Clearly communicate technical issues and contribute ideas to the overall technical vision of the engineering organization
Manage and mentor a software development team, building leaders within the team and functional area
Actively work to recruit strong engineers to the company

Experience in a senior software development role (leadership experience a plus)
A demonstrated history of motivating and empowering team members to achieve a higher level of performance
The ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience, engage in productive dialog involving multiple viewpoints or conflicting perspectives
A proven track record of not only delivering high quality code, but defining it
Ability to independently scope, design and implement flexible technical solutions while anticipating technical uncertainties.
Experience working with distributed teams
Object-oriented design skills
C# (or related object-oriented programming experience)
SQL (or related database experience)
A long-term love of computer programming, as evidenced by a bachelor's degree in computer science or skipping college to go right to work as a programmer
