Job Description
- Initiate and implement an action plan for the deployment of the prescription process with consultants, and End Users
- To identify and list all projects in the assigned region
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, developers, and Consultants, especially with key individuals who are in a position to influence the project
- Securing approvals, and clearing technical inquiries with Clients and consultants
- Support all aspects of the relationship with Consultants/ Specifying bodies within the assigned area of responsibility. Include own products and systems in Specifications
- Provide technical assistance to Consultants / Specifying bodies.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and circuit drawings and ensure IEC codes and specifications are in line with project designing
- Use Available Marketing tools and to establish market awareness & influence to all levels of the construction project chain.
- Acquire knowledge of competitor offers and align our prescription accordingly
- Play an active role in a team effort by pre and post-sales prescription with consultants, designers, and specifiers
- Initiate and implement an action plan for the deployment of the prescription process with clients, consultants, and Developers
- Do aggressive lobbying and maintain good relations with ministries, consultants, and End Users.
- Organize and conduct customer presentations, and seminars
- Maintain regular visits to consultants and End Users
- Study and document the market variables and the position of competitors in the market as part of the country business plan
- Initiate and control the pre-qualification process with allocated consultants and designers
- Assist the sales team with pre-sales support in new business and customer growth strategies which are directly related to revenue generation
- Work closely with the sales force in opportunity identification and qualification
- Participate in the development of sales strategies for new business and customer growth and assist to implement these as successful sales campaigns
- Utilize analytical and diagnostic skills to match user requirements and available solutions
- Present solutions, across Industry Verticals and across all levels of the prospect organization
- Participate in leads 'Discovery' and communicate and coordinate with other stakeholders to complete tenders and demonstrations
- Communicate specification detail, Project detail, and successful contractor information to the sales force for follow up
- Liaise closely with the Sales team and ensure that all projects are followed up with the successful contractors
- Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitor activities. Communicate such information to sales management and product managers
- Maintain a co-operative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure customer satisfaction- Plan promotional efforts, presentations and training sessions with consultants
- Provide necessary reports and surveys requested by management by indicated deadlines
- Ensure Consultant Libraries are always up to date
Job Requirements
- Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical Power
- Technical experience or knowledge in presales for complex product
- Technical knowledge of MV-LV power distribution components and systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively at senior level
- Good technical knowledge and ability to present this effectively / influence specification
- Sound knowledge of the assigned market & channels including competitor’s information
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and team-building skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to support the customers' business
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
