Job Description
- Oversee layout and check content for accuracy and errors, including language, numbers, percentages, graphs, link content, etc.
- Suggest stories and headline ideas in alignment with targeted audience’s preferences.
- Proofread, edit and improve reports.
- Cooperate and liaise with report writers, fellow editors and members of other teams.
- Comply with the company's standards and ethical guidelines.
- Take on other tasks from time to time, such as translation, versions, comparison, and revisions outside the pre-set scope of work.
- Other tasks that might be assigned by the direct manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in English language is a must.
- A comparable degree (or course) in journalism and/or media is a plus.
- Previous writing and translation experience is a must.
- Top-notch English and Arabic writing skills.
- Excellent writing/editing/proofreading/translation skills.
- Proven familiarity with social and traditional media best practices.
