Job Description

  • Providing a pro-active, prompt, reliable, and professional personalized service to customers in the area of customs clearance processes
  • Act as a link between our customers & Gateway customs clearance department
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests for the held shipment at customs in a timely and professional manner to ensure held shipments are processed to achieve optimum clearance times
  • Ensure global service excellence by achieving productivity
  • Trace performance and quality targets
  • Provide customers with pro-active customer service including - Alerting customers to service failures.
  • Alerting customers to delays in Clearance
  • Adherence to approved gateway operations / special clearance - Service Level Agreement.
  • Assist with resolution of the trace files where the problems specifically related to customs issues to support the prompt resolution of the files
  • To provide statistics and analysis to gateway manager to allow making informed decisions related to customers’ requests
  • Foster team approach with all fellow team members to achieve yearly department objectives and targets
  • Perform daily updates on timely manner
  • Handling customers complaints and special requests or any urgent collections or deliveries even at odd times
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the customs authorities and airlines to facilitate the airport operations.
  • Organize the team and manage the ground courier’s substitution.
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically
  • Identify training needs for the team members and continuously improving their skills and capacity.
  • Train, Monitor, and develop direct reports
  • Set KPIs and conduct an annual performance evaluation for direct reports
  • Handle and control the receiving process at the airport and monitors the clearance process to ensure it's done according to the country local customs regulations
  • Adhere to company HSSE, compliance and sustainability corporate policies
  • Handle special projects when needed
  • Identify and resolve repetitive service failures and human errors and facilitate continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Job requirements:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in Customs Clearance (Egyptian procedures) is a must
  • Bachelor's degree Holder (Business Administration or Equivalent )
  • Fluent English & Arabic Language
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills
  • Leadership skills
