Job Description
- Plans and leads improvement projects aligned towards site goals and objectives
- Resolves production problems and implements solutions in an effective and timely manner
- Ensures associate management including staffing, scheduling, associate development and performance management
- Implements and manages continuous improvement initiatives and activities
- Leads plant to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals
- Implements and ensures operations metrics are well known
- Exhibits and promotes behaviors on the plant floor that leads to an engaged workforce
- Implements company policies such as attendance, overtime, safety, etc. and directs the application of such policies to the service center
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of operations management experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Steel or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Technologically savvy and experience working with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications.
