The Role
We’re currently looking for a Senior Front End Engineer SEO/Growth:
As a Senior Front End Engineer SEO/Growth, you will lead the development of all website content and configuration necessary to drive the growth of organic and paid search engine traffic for Vezeeta’s ePharmacy. You will work closely with our product and marketing operations teams on implementation and optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will manage regional execution of the company’s SEO strategy and deliver on all SEO related functions including but not limited to front-end coding, content updates, SEO analysis, page optimization, keyword research, site audits, and web analytics analysis.
You may be a part of a team of SEO engineers who will design, build and deliver the company’s SEO strategy to increase web leads, site traffic, conversion, brand recognition and more.
Responsibilities:
- Own development, maintenance, optimization, testing strategy, design discussions and operations of front-end code as needed with HTML, CSS, and ReactJS.
- Practice Scrum/Agile methodology with a focus on building code that is effective, efficient, scalable, and extensible.
- Collaborate with content authors and help define the content strategy to incorporate SEO guidelines early and as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Support regular site audits for all SEO related functions and present results.
- Provide SEO expertise and recommendations as needed.
- Evangelize and help enforce global SEO content/site guidelines.
- Configure and manage properties, code, and components related to SEO.
- Maintain an updated understanding of what the major search engines, and especially Google, are using as criteria for SERP.
- Be ready to work at a fast pace, deliver quickly, and pivot as needed while still delivering high-quality code.
- Guide your team and others in design sessions and help deliver high-quality work.
- Partner with teams to identify software components in their products that can be optimized.
- Troubleshoot issues and identify bottlenecks to improve performance.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and debugging sessions.

Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks preferably ReactJS.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO engineering with demonstrated understanding of how all content, functions, components, links, and other factors impact SEO.
- Building and leading SEO strategy for a global company.
- One or more programming languages and familiarity with a variety of operating systems and hardware platforms.
- A degree/education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Ability to work with a remote/distributed team.
- Knowledge of popular search engine algorithms and requirements.
- Web server architecture and configuration related to SEO.
- Using web crawlers and similar tools to perform site audits.
- Understanding of search engine rankings and factors affecting them.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Designing and developing for accessibility and internationalization is a strong plus.
- Web content development/publishing experience using an enterprise content management system (CMS) is a plus.
