Job Description
- Collect, store, processes and analyze a variety of sets of data with BI Developer.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Maintain and support current BI solutions
- Provide new BI solutions as per need through developing, testing, and running solutions through working closely with-IT Subject Matter Experts teams and Data stewards to understand the data logic; and handover to the production team
- Work with the data governance team to help drive consistency in MDM, Data Definitions, etc to create a trusted source of data
- Work closely with Group Data Architect on developing and improving current data architecture and on future architecture plans.
- Focus on the back-end technical side of BI (closely working with BI developer) and also BI consultants and analyst to enable data into a context that allows the consumer of the information (the user) to use it to make smart decisions must be able to access the needed data to support the reporting or analytics product for which they are creating.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Proven working experience of providing valuable insights Business Intelligence Developer
- Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources using ETL tools
- SSRS/SSAS/SSIS, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), Report Builder
- SQL and relational database, Data Warehouse.
- Additional experience of Power BI, Tableau.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks.
- Knowledge of a variety of data management and engineering approaches.
- Strong knowledge and experience of SQL tools, reporting tools, and languages e.g. Python Tableau, etc.
- Specific industry knowledge.
- Business understanding and acumen.
Skills:
- Full ETL lifecycle skills.
- Skilled at rapidly gathering and manipulating data from a variety of sources.
- Skilled in a variety of database platforms and tools including Data Virtualization.
- Adapt to queries, report writing, and present findings.
- Acquisition data from primary and/or secondary sources.
- Problem-solving.
- Communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified ideally in any discipline.
