Job Description

Credit Cards Applications Support

  • Perform the daily technical support tasks and handle the service desk raised tickets related to credit cards services to properly close and reply to customer and user issues.
  • Perform all project technical tasks related to credit cards and report any risks that may affect the project deliverables.
  • Apply - with vendor involvement, if required - all updates, upgrades, and certifications required to maintain best performance of credit cards related applications.
  • Maintain application performance by applying frequent system health checks to ensure the maximum system availability.
  • Report incidents to IT service desk and generate monthly reports of all detected and resolved issues to maintain tracking history.
  • Administrate Edit Package Application updates and supervising BIN updates on Cards Application to ensure the maximum cards acceptance.
  • Maintain customized credit cards services such as Credit Shield, PIN reset, Cards activation, special charges processing to ensure end-to-end credit cards service availability.

Problem handling

  • Perform root-cause analysis and handle debit & prepaid cards issue log to ensure the proper closure.
  • Test all fixes received from the vendor over test environment to ensure the issue has been resolved.
  • Apply the new required changes from the vendor to comply with Visa and MasterCard mandates to ensure the service acceptance.
  • 11. Report incidents to IT service desk and generate monthly reports of all detected and resolved issues to maintain tracking history.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Maintain semi-annual mandates & changes requested by the payment networks

Day-to-day Operations

  • Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department to ensure continuity of work

Compliance

  • Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
  • Comply with Networks mandates and compliances to avoid any possible penalties.
  • Escalate to the direct manager all issues that would jeopardize the bank to any kind of risks or losses

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience in AS/400
  • Awareness of System Operation tasks for the running platforms
  • Awareness of Cards operations
  • Thorough understanding for the data communication and networking

Skills

  • Very good command of written and spoken English Language
  • Advanced skills in analysis and troubleshooting
  • Awareness AS/400 training
  • Good Analytical skills and problem solving skills
