Job Description
- Manage the operations of mechanical maintenance
- Planning activities to ensure that all production and supporting equipment is operating at peak conditions.
- Plan and direct the design and implementation of sound mechanical Maintenance principles, procedures, practices, and standards that will ensure a well-managed, responsive, cost-effective mechanical maintenance program.
- Direct and supervise the administrative, control, and technical activities of the mechanical maintenance section.
- Ensure that HSEQ directives are followed in the planning and execution of all activities.
- Coordinate and supervise the mechanical maintenance checklists that determine all steps to be carried out in mechanical maintenance work , a tool list, attentive bill of materials and average time
- Ensuring that mechanical maintenance is carried out in accordance with sound and safe engineering standards and parches, and in compliance with ISO procedures (if applicable).
- Coordinate with production section heads and other sections/ departments for the procedures of carrying out preventive and reactive mechanical maintenance work and shut down procedures.
- Coordinate the investigations of equipment break downs to determine the root cause and to prevent reoccurrence.
- Review mechanical maintenance activity performed by contractors , information recorded on work order documents and authorized completed work orders
- Raise and approve material equipment purchases in accordance with procurement procedures and delegation authority guidelines.
- Participate in tendering procedures related to mechanical maintenance work, machinery or parts purchase.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual mechanical maintenance plans with other sections /departments.
- Ensure smooth operations of mechanical maintenance section's facilities whether through resolving people issues, maintenance issues, raw material.
- Coordinate with human resources manager on recruitment, subordinates performance, evaluation training requirement, proposed salary incentives and promotions.
- Approve overtime, sick leaves, and vacation leaves.

Job Requirements
- University degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of practical experience in mechanical maintenance activity in fertilizers, chemical industry.
- At least "6" in Superior Managerial role.
- Proven achievements and track record.
- Organize, develop and motivate an effective and efficient staff.
- Ability to think logically and systemically.
- Good people skills and ability to communicate properly in oral and written form.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages
