Job Description

Role Summary:As an Initiatives Leader you will be responsible work on programs, initiatives or projects. You will support Customs compliance activities and projects at a Global, Regional, Country or Business
level.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with various business functions to implement Customs strategy
    oParticipate and act as Customs lead for business-driven projects impacting the Customs area
    oAssist in developing tools or processes to simplify or automate manual processes
  • Appoint approved Strategic Brokers/Agents within current delivery model and define business requirements for Broker/Agent selection
  • Maintain and publish supplier metrics relevant to Global Customs
  • Ensure execution of QBR’s with business partners
  • Day to day relationship with Purchased Service partners in region and drive cost out and process improvements
  • Assist in ensuring Enterprise Standard is globally adhered to and work with regions to implement
    organizational or process changes where deviation from standard is identified
  • Creation and execution of Customs business training

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent knowledge or experience
  • 3 years Customs experience
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Customs processes or country Professional Customs Certification or Accreditation with minimum 3 years of experience in customs processes
  • Ability to communicate (verbal, written) in English

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with global tariff classification, country of origin determination, management of Customs brokers and 3rd party compliance providers, valuation, record keeping requirements, global trade management systems
  • Strong demonstrated ability to identify areas of cost-out opportunity and execute process changes to realize savings
  • Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures
  • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
  • Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
  • Oracle order management experience
