Maintenance/ Engineering & Project Manager

Purpose

• To set plans for installation, operation and maintenance, upgrading and modernizing the maintenance systems and supervising the electrical and mechanical maintenance
• To plan and organize the maintenance and improvement of the company’s machines and equipment to ensure are of the required standard and provide a safe and healthy working environment.

Financial

• Prepare specifications, obtain tenders and negotiate contracts for maintenance, ensuring that work is undertaken to the required standards and within agreed timescales and costs.
• Monitor the maintenance budget to ensure that this is appropriately.
• Continual Improvement of the process and support New Projects Development.

Customer

• Motivate and empower maintenance staff in order to reach organizational goals
• Encourages team discussion to help produce collective solutions
• Accept responsibility for the team’s overall performance and actions.
• Being proactive in approach to projects & quality improvement and business development.
• Understanding and discussing direction from seniors and then acting upon agreement.

Internal Process

• Direct and control all maintenance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
• Prepare periodic reports on installation and maintenance.
• Develop, implement and maintain any necessary systems and procedures to ensure effective energy management within the company.
• Supervise the acceptance & delivery inspection in the installation and maintenance works and sets the required technical specifications.
• Enhances the foundations and procedures of HSE.
• Develop a preventive maintenance system that contains a schedule for maintenance and a proper system for recording maintenance data.
• Work on documenting maintenance and opening a special file for each machine.
• Knowing for whatever source and using appropriate knowledge in an appropriate way for best practice.
• Guide and empower direct reports in a way that helps to deliver better results.
• Provides support that enables others to develop, improve and utilize their capabilities
• Ensure safe working practices and safe working conditions are in place for the health and safety of the plant personnel, for the factory in general and the Environment. Establish appropriate safety standards that relates to the best in the technology.
• Ensure the quality of the products produced; strictly conform to the set specifications.
• Address all customer complaints and implement the corrective actions in a timely manner. Preventive measures to be planned to avoid potential customer complaints.
• Liaison with all related departments to ensure smooth flow of business.

Learning & Growth

• Develop and maintain all necessary systems and procedures
• Provide technical advice on maintenance issues to engineers and staff.
• Ensure adequate training program for the staff to carry out the maintenance efficiently, effectively and safely. A training and development plan should be in place.
• Coach staff for higher responsibilities within the plant.
• Creating opportunities for people with developed competencies.
• Building a learning culture to improve the performance.
