Mechanical Specialist

• Registered Mechanical engineer with at least 10 years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge in Mechanical and Plumbing systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Design Software used on the Project.
• Extensive knowledge of Construction Processes, Phasing of Work and Stages of Billing.
• Thorough understanding of P, M, E, Civil, Structural, Safety Practices and Architectural systems to be used on the Project.
• Knowledge and experience with Scheduling and Construction.
• Knowledge and experience of Standards, Construction Techniques and Building Codes.
• Ability to clearly communicate to Vendors, Consultants, Construction Leads.
• Understanding of BIM system used and have the ability to coordinate with.
• Understanding of the Project File Naming Conventions and how to segregate the Data for Clash resolution with interaction of the 2D drawings and the BIM Modeling.
• Ability to coordinate Vendor work as required.
• Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), read construction schedules (Primavera).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies Required to Execute this Role.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Skills: In depth knowledge in the supervision consultants, ensuring that quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.

Experience Required to Execute this Role:

• Overall Experience: Expats minimum experience required 18 years, Saudi nationals 10+ years of industry experience in the monitor site performance of the contractor and supervision consultants.
• Specific Experience: 5+ years of experience in the engineering in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm.
• Experience in the Middle East projects will be an added advantage.
• Desirable: Marine background.
