Job Description
Ensure operational efficiency
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle ensuring that all end to end processes related to operations & logistics are executed accurately and timely and develop and maintain the relevant operational procedural manuals.
- Implement governance procedures and processes to identify and solve operational problems and manage risks.
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timeous reporting in respect of key performance metrics and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
Shipments and Deliveries Logistics
- Manage and execute transportation logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
- Manage daily routes of shipments and deliveries, and track the progress to ensure delivery on time.
- Oversee the transportation of products from one location to another, such as from warehouses to stores arranging product pickups and deliveries with courier companies and route drivers accordingly.
- Conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies in order to select one that is cost-efficient and able to handle the shipment loads.
Maintain Stock & Warehouse Inventory
- Manage inventory based on analyzing customer needs and historical data and research the need for keeping certain items in stock.
- Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stock and re-order product as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels and ensuring that its sufficiently maintained
- Arrange and plan warehouse for efficiency in both operations and capacity
- Ensure adequate stock management tools and processes are in place to enable efficient working across all platforms.
Ensure Client Satisfaction
- Review, analyze and make recommendations on improvement opportunities in each service lifecycle phase
- Understand the core issues affecting the customer’s satisfaction and work with the relevant teams to resolve them
- Monitor customer’s satisfaction and contractual compliance for our clients
- Responds to customer orders queries in line with standards set and agreed response times
- Compile statistics relating to customer orders service performance and produce a variety of reports to analyze data and identify key areas where improvement is required
- Collate useful qualitative feedback from customer orders and share with the relevant team to assist in product development and adoption of improved practices
Set Financial Targets
- Analyze operational records, trends and costs related to estimated and realized revenues to project future revenues and expenses, establish financial targets and identify opportunities to minimize cost or increase sales/revenue
- Identify opportunities to minimize cost and/or increase sales/revenue
- Draw up budgets aligned to operational delivery plans, monitor and report on variances.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration or related field
- 3+ years of proven experience in E-Commerce Operations & Logistics role with exposure to operational elements
- Excellent customer orientation skills with ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking and display high levels of integrity.
