Job Description
- Design and implement any system architectures that support the business.
- Design, implement and maintain networking and communications infrastructure including connections, routers, access points, and firewalls.
- Deploy and operate the organization's server systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimize server services and operating systems whether on standalone nodes or using virtualization.
- Participate in DevOps processes and manage deployment of products and applications.
- Continuous and seamless monitoring and reporting on systems health, performance and issues.
- Own the communications and systems infrastructures and strive to make them reach the best attainable performance and output.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Proven 1-3 years systems and communications engineering experience.
- CCNA or equivalent
- Advanced or Expert level in Linux administration and an understanding of Linux distributions (RHSE is a plus)
- Advanced understanding of server virtualization technologies such as VMware and open stack.
- Basic to Advanced level in Windows server administration.
- Basic understanding of storage systems such as SANs and NASs.
- Advanced understanding of the application server’s administration and configuration, such as Apache2, NGINX, and IIS.
- Able to perform basic manual network wiring and stapling.
- Advanced to Expert level of understanding of server hardware and its maintenance.
- Flexible and adaptable to both organizational and project-level changes.
- An understanding of the Agile process and culture.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Passion for solving hard problems and exploring new technologies.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
