Job Description
- Identify, develop and implement, following the management approval, sales procedures which should secure the short and long term growth objectives of the business as expressed in strategic business plans.
- Maintains good and fair relations with customers.
- Helps developing an effective pricing strategy within to safeguard profit margins and to ensure an optimum commercial return.
- Achieves sales volumes and profit margins of the business against a background of high inflation, growing competition and severe economic circumstances in the market.
- Establish and maintain an effective sales information database through which to develop and initiate plans to safeguard and satisfy Sales objectives.
- Manage, train and develop a team of motivated and professional sales engineers and staff capable of meeting the workload of the Department.
- Maintains and develops the sales methodologies and approaches to reflect customer needs and market pressures for self and subordinates.
- Maintains up-to-date customer and competitor database, which provides essential reference material to the Sales Department.
- Participates in the formulation of Sales policies and procedures and sustain and promote growth and profitability.
- Ensure adherence and commit to the environment, safety policy, procedures and TQM Systems and Guidelines.
- Ensure that the policies of the Company are fully known and understood by all sales engineers, assist and instruct representatives in regard to these matters.
- Periodically train and instruct all sales teams on sales techniques to develop and improve detailing and selling approaches.
- Performs other tasks as assigned his superiors.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. Engineering (Renewable Energy / Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
- Must have experience in Solar Energy Solution Sales.
- 10-15 years recent and successful sales experience in PV/ Solar or related industry.
- Proven track record of successful execution of sales targets in previous roles (existing customer base).
- Strong negotiation, communication and organization skills.
- Willingness/ability to travel.
- Displays team spirit skills and very good analytical skills.
- Demonstrates proven ability to direct and coordinate a broad range of sales activities and sales professionals.
