Job Description

Strategic:

  • Participate, as and when required, in the development of the Assessment Policies and procedures framework that will allow the function to effectively meet its objectives and targets, in line with overall Talent Management policies and procedures.
  • Review and report to the Group Talent Manager, the effectiveness of such policies and procedures, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide input on the Function’s budget requirements to the Group Talent Manager, and accordingly control expenses, ensuring it stays within its operating budget.

Functional:

  • Contribute in establishing the guidelines for Assessments to identify Talent both for selection and development purposes.
  • Develop the Assessment Matrix with competencies levels and tools required to be administered across job families.
  • Develop, maintain and source materials for Assessment Center Library to ensure availability of right kits to assess ability, competence, and personality for key roles.
  • Plan and prepare a quarterly schedule of assessments to include observers, room bookings, and stationery materials.
  • Facilitate Assessment Centers for along with a nominated observer, including administering the tests, controlling time taken for the tests, note-taking and closing the assessments.
  • Carry out debriefing sessions with the observers to discuss the competencies observed by each participant Write the reports , review those written by the observers and submit the final reports to the HR representative for further action.
  • Conduct feedback sessions with the participants of the development centers along with HR and their managers to discuss the report and arrive at a clear development path for the participant to pursue.
  • Consolidate and maintain the inventory of reports and ensure the database is actively managed for future reference in the event the participant is re-nominated for an assessment.
  • Review the in-house Ability tests and ensure it is updated to reflect the principal accountabilities of the role.
  • Support in the administration of Ability Tests and manage the online Testing module, ensuring the right usage of tools with the allocation of the unit’s usage to the relevant companies.
  • Contribute to the roll-out of other tools i.e. 360 to support Key Talent and Senior Leadership development assessment.
  • Keep abreast of new tools available and conduct market intelligence to report how other companies have structured their assessment practices.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate or Post Graduate Degree, preferably in the medical field or the field of Organisational Psychology.
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in independently managing Assessment Centers.
  • Should have good organizational and planning abilities including the ability to deal with/work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Should be able to communicate effectively and have effective coaching skills.
  • Should be able to lead, develop and motivate teams.
