Milkys is hiring Senior Veterinarian

For dry, close-up and Calf Unit to work at farm in EL Noubaria, Behira governorate, with the following responsibilities:

• Manage Calf unit health, recommended vaccinations through in coordination with nursery engineer.
• Daily checking and treatment of calves need to be checked or treated and newly separated sick calves.
• Apply the vaccination programs for calf unit.
• Responsible for the far dry cows, close-up cows, pregnant heifers, growing heifers and fattening animals from the health point of view and recommended vaccinations.
• Follow up cows and heifers in parturition to give safe birth and live calf as can as possible through coordination with general health vet and technicians.
• Make daily round in the calf unit and the yards of above mentioned categories to stand on the general health condition of the categories supervised under his supervision.
• Perform dehorning and removal of extra teats for calves.
• Manage drench in heifers according to the program.
• Support with vet. Team in general assignments of the farm for example and not limited to vaccinations, Herd screen tests ….etc.
• Prepare the necessary periodical reports & on daily basis record calves’ data on system.
• Perform the necessary surgical operations for calves assisted by another vet. during the operation.
• Follow-up the average daily gain for calves on monthly basis from the health point of view through coordination with feeding team leader and nursery engineer.
• Share in creating & developing new operations standards, protocols & Vet. Team training and development.
