Job Description
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems, applications and camera system
- Monitor and maintain school computer systems and networks
- Walk school staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
- Replace HW parts as required
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Learning new software / hardware and expanding school users’ knowledge on exiting software / hardware .
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
- Test and evaluate new technology
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree
- At least one formal technical qualification/certification related to IT
- CCNA - MCSA knowledge/certificate
- Solid background in CCTV systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience as an IT officer/specialist for at least 2 years
- Good written & spoken English
- Resident of Alexandria
