Job Overview:
The DevOps Engineer is the execution arm of the DevOps Lead. He is embedded within squads to provide DevOps to ensure that the DevOps standards and requirements are fulfilled and complied to. He or she ensures that every single build within the sprint is achieved smoothly and seamlessly, as well as to ensure the proper completion and deployment of releases with other squads.
Main Duties:
- Enforce and support the DevOps standards and principles within the squad.
- Ensure the seamless build, integration, and deployment of newly written code into the testing and production environments.
- Perform POCs and research tasks that can improve current processes and present them to the team.
- Interface with the Architecture Engineer to ensure the smooth application of CI/CD, automated builds and automated deployment on production.
- Provide second-level support to internal teams who support customers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Prerequisites:
- Experience in the level of a senior engineer in the production and review of software code.
- Analytical mind with the capability to design, understand designs and troubleshoot logical architectures and processes.
- Comfortable exploring new ways and technologies and applying them.
- Familiar with hardware topologies and their preparation and deployment.
- Familiar with the technology stack utilized to develop and engineer the platform
- Patient and able to provide second-level support.
- Able to function as a member of the team
- Comfort with exploring and researching new ideas and technologies is a must
- Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
