Job Description

Oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The Procurement Officer's responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, Following up Claims, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Update and Follow up Prices & Terms with Suppliers and Affiliates on a monthly or quarterly basis, make sure that updates inserted on the approved supplier list.
  • Procure sample materials from new supplier/new grade (upon request/need), and to follow up with QCD for the final report, make sure that updates inserted on the Trial Request sheet.
  • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing, comparing and analyzing products and services in terms of quality, consumption, and pricing (Cost Impact).
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information, such as qualifications, delivery terms, payment terms, product ranges, achieved and expected business volume etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
  • Follow up the allocation % with Commercial Team as per the approved supplier list.
  • Follow up the complaints related to consignments with the suppliers, Updates to be inserted on the FRR summary report.
  • Follow up and update any projects that could be requested from the Procurement team.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, business management or a similar field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Attention to detail.
