Job Description

  • Received parts freight, inspected all of incoming freight, made sure it was not damaged, and finally distributed to designated areas
  • Track all incoming and outgoing parts for a dealership, and follow up when the dealership is out of stock, in addition to customers and service center
  • Order Preparation: Picking parts for customer orders and checking availability of stock from various inquiries. Make sheets of parts fast moving items, medium and hard and recommend additional parts for repair.
  • Stock Control: Ensuring consumables and service parts are regularly refilled, for all trade/retail and internal service customers.
  • Be aware of new product information
  • Collect payments and ensure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and repair service center.
  • Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced
  • Giving customers, who are looking to improve or fix their cars advice and service to get them the necessary parts.
  • Assist in both daily and weekly inventories, and responsible for ordering of parts, including tires and accessories.
  • Assist technicians with on hand parts and ordering of specialized parts for custom repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
  • Train and coach new parts advisers.
  • Supply valuable reporting and metrics on inventory and sales
  • Maintain accurate record keeping
  • Communicating with service advisers to ensure parts are ordered correctly
  • Ensuring that inventory is correctly stocked and in the proper location
  • Keep track of inventory to ensure that fast moving parts are stocked and available.

Job Requirements

  • At least high school graduate or higher
  • At least 2 years’ experience automotive companies
  • Can use (billing system), car catalog system & parts diagrams
  • Use Windows-based systems, including Outlook and Excel, to perform daily
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle layout, parts catalogs, and computer stock lists
  • Sound knowledge of Warehouse planning and Inventory software applications
  • Salesfloor experience
  • Customer service expert
  • Experience negotiating with wholesale clients
  • Stock control
