Job Description
- Work with Upland Project Portfolio and Financial Management clients to assess client needs.
- Define high-quality and fit-for-purpose recommendations by mapping client business needs to our flexible suite of PPFM solutions.
- Communicate recommendations to clients as part of the Upland team.
- Create draft statements of work and review statements of work created by Sales Engineers.
- Provide continuity to ensure recommendations and go-forward plan defined for any client are well understood by Upland and Client team members.
- Demonstrable knowledge of how business operate in the Project Portfolio and Financial management space. You will need have excellent working knowledge of the following:
- Project planning, management, and execution processes
- Resource assignments management and resource capacity planning processes
- Project intake processes
- Portfolio planning and management processes
- How businesses are structured operationally and financially
- Demonstrable knowledge of complex data structures and data relationships
- Working knowledge of project and portfolio financial planning and management terminology and practices
- Track record of problem solving across multiple Fortune 500 companies
Job Requirements
Intuitive grasp of technology:
- Fully capable of producing polished presentations and documents using MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
- Ability to manipulate and transform data in Excel (including deep knowledge of Excel formulas) at an expert level.
- Proven track record of ability to learn new software with minimal guidance.
- Comfortable using a variety of communications technologies and methodologies and remaining closely connected at all times with a remote team.
Skills and Competences:
- Solid team player who partners well across internal and external functions and teams in a remote working environment.
- Relatively self-managing (looking for a 7 to 8 on a scale of 0 - 10 where 0 = requires heavy management and 10 = self managing).
- Ability to adapt to dynamic daily working cadence with a sense of ease and humor.
- Authenticity and trustworthiness that gives clients confidence in Upland recommendations.
- Ability to engage in dialog with clients.
- Ability to truly listen to responses and ask excellent follow-on questions to get to the heart of the problem to solve.
