Job Description
- Provide translation of different types of documents (Legal, Financial, General ... etc.) from English to Arabic & vice versa and ensure that the final version of the translated text is grammatically correct and well-expressed
- Read through original materials which may include technical reports, legal, scientific & administrative documents, memorandums, presentations, surveys and studies, rewrite it in the target language, and ensure that the meaning of the source text is retained
- Has a background of using CAT Tools: Word fast, memo Q, SDL Trades … etc. to ensure consistency of translation within documents
- Aware of using specialist dictionaries and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
- Research legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
- Proofread and edit final translated versions received by other Jr. Translators to ensure that all elements are free of grammatical errors and compliant in style and format, and ensure accurate and appropriate translation to end-users
- Compare typeset proofs against original copy to identify errors
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in English language or translation
- At least (3) years working experience as a Translator and 2 years working experience as Senior Translator
- To have cultural competence of both source language and target language
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
