Job Description

Are you an experienced event professional? Are you passionate about events? Do you one day hope to run your own events company? If the answer is yes, then this is the job for you. We are looking for a candidate to re-launch and grow our events department.

The Head of Events - the main job role will encompass both Business Development and Operations of events. The Head of Events is responsible for acquiring new clients for 3rd party events, as well as securing sponsorship for Quintessentially events.

They are responsible for planning and organizing events from CONCEPTION to COMPLETION. This includes sourcing sponsorship opportunities and managing budgets, booking, managing and overseeing the event to ensure it is of the highest standard.

  • Proactively selling Quintessentially Egypt Events management services to 3rd parties, generating leads for both private and corporate, and creating and maintaining a potential clients’ database.
  • Sourcing and managing sponsorship opportunities for Quintessentially events
  • Development, production, and delivery of projects from ideation/proposal right up to delivery.
  • Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Managing supplier relationships.
  • Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.
  • Launch and grow the events department.

Job Requirements

  • Has worked within an established Events company in Egypt for a minimum of 5 years OR has managed the events/sponsorship department of an international company.
  • Strong business development track record within the events industry.
  • Combined experience of managing events in addition to the business development side of events is a MUST
  • Excellent contacts within the events management/planning segment, with extensive contacts to various suppliers across fields.
  • Exposure to all the various aspects of event management/planning
  • Exposure to handling executives, senior executives, VIP’s, personalities, celebrities, persons of social standing.
  • Excellent written & oral communication.
  • Must be fluent in English and other languages are a distinct advantage
  • Sales driven with a passion to succeed.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Project management skills and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
