Job Description
- Supervises and gives technical back up to the in-house maintenance team
- Coordinates all duties of maintenance team such as handling disturbances / breakdowns chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air-conditioning fans, pumps, automatic control systems, electricity, sanitation, hot and cold water system etc.
- On a day to day basis, deals with heads of departments to discuss any work required. Including when job-taking place, length of time work will take, when work can be programmed to start.
- Regularly monitors store and ensure that spares are ordered in plenty of time to avoid running out of any items.
- Keep a watchful eye on energy management bearing in mind electric, gas, water and how much energy is being used and if this can be reduced in any way without bringing discomfort to the guests in the hotel and reports this to his superior.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance program is working satisfactorily and that paperwork and logbooks / sheets for all testing (emergency lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler system) are kept up to date.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION
- Faculty of Engineering. Major study in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE
- 3-7 years experience as Assistant Chief Engineer in a hospitality environment.
