Job Description

  • Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.
  • Assess all incoming products, resources, and to ensure the best price.
  • Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships.
  • Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost.
  • Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste.
  • Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality.
  • Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures.
  • Suggest and recommend appropriate course of action for controlling all costs, including packaging costs, minimizing wastage, kitchen supplies, etc.
  • On a daily basis monitor that cost is correctly calculated as per recipes. Thorough review of food & beverage costing.
  • Calculate and monitor inventory variances based on the physical stock and system stock quantities.
  • Ensure costing is correctly calculated and posted in system and monitor the food & beverage cost levels. Any deviations, example, price increases or high wastage should be immediately brought to the attention of the management.
  • Prepare the required detailed monthly analysis and costing reports and provide explanation between actual and budgeted performance.
  • Support both external and internal audit on costing related requests.
  • Ensure business compliance with Statutory, Legal and Taxation requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in costing & Inventory control preferably in Retail Business.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately.
  • Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads.
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
