Job Description
Compliance and Enforcement of all Health, Safety, and Environmental Issues:
- Implement all HSE policies of the company, local legislation & regulations, other local and international statutory codes of practice and standards
- Project and Field Report Audits
- Contractors Audits and Compliance with JCI and Industry based Standards
- Equipment emissions permits and reports, and breathing air quality records
- Conduct site inspections
- Risk assessment & Hazard analysis and managing mitigation process
- Conduct inspections on Sub contractor works
- Attends pre-job planning and other client meetings as required
- Conduct on site safety meeting daily / weekly
- Consult with the client on resolving unhealthy & unsafe issues faced by JCI employee
- Ensure that everyone obey all the safety rules
- Assist work site personnel and line management in development of work site HSE and Cause No Harm promotions and campaigns
- Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor
- Ensure compliance on HSE related systems i.e. firefighting, emergency preparedness at site & office
Documentation, Tracking, Statistics and Reporting
- KSA/OSHA, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 compliance, record-keeping, preparation. HSE audits, inspections, reports, certifications, permits, etc.
- Risk Management
- JSA/SWP
- Near Miss/Hazard/Observation Reports
- Establish a process to verify that corrective actions, as a result of incident investigations are documented and implemented
- Accident/Incident Reports and Corrective actions. Post-accident/incident Root-Cause Analysis
- Safety Meetings for all hands, and other communications to keep crews updated and informed of changes related to HSE
- Emissions forms/reports to clients
- Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP)
- Customer Specific Documents – HSE
- MSDS
- Medical Emergency Plan
- Safety meeting presentation
- Prepare and update HSE statistical tracking and trending data
Training, Certifications and Record Keeping
- New hire safety training orientations (Workplace safety, PPE, CPR , etc.)
- Setup and Maintain an Incident/Accident Database
- Conducting daily TBT and maintaining records
Environmental Issues
- Equipment regulatory permitting, tracking and reporting
- Monitoring & controlling land & air pollution
Job Requirements
- College graduate or minimum of 3 years of diploma in health & safety
- Formal training in OHSAS 30 hours and Risk Management
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
- Knowledge of relevant HSE principles including knowledge of regulatory agency, client and subcontractor HSE requirements
- Knowledge of international standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001
- Fluent in English
- Spend most of his time working at sites
