Foreigner KG Stage Head

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To provide leadership for the stage.
• To ensure that the teachers follow the guidelines of the curriculum and promote the goals of the curriculum among students and parents.
• To hold regular meetings with the teachers and to meet individual teachers to provide support and advice.
• To update teachers with new teaching methods and strategies.
• Participate in the recruitment committee and prepare tests for new applicants.
• To Mentor and monitor all teachers and assistants, work closely with them to help them settle in both professionally and personally.
• To liaise with the school principal concerning the professional performance of teachers and to participate in the formal evaluation of members of the Department (ex: appraisal).
• To carry class visits for teachers and carry out the necessary follow up at least once a month.
• To monitor grading of the subject to obtain from each teacher a regular (at each Quarter) work summary, including:
• Material covered
• An estimate of the homework set
• Weekly formative assessments (ex: portfolios, copybooks, quizzes, assignments, etc...).
• Summative assessments (e.g. quarter exams, presentation, etc.…)
• Student individualized report
• Further develop my own professional and skills by attending relevant courses, reading to keep abreast of current educational thinking and participating fully in school staff development.
• Attend the meeting in accordance with school policy and lead such meetings as required.
